2012: An Intuitive Perspective

by

Jaye Beldo

Many a forward looking author these days are training their cross hairs on a supposedly profound event: the aligning of the galactic center of the Milky Way with the planet earth. Using the Mayan calendar which ‘ends’ on the winter solstice of 2012 as their reference point, books such as Jose Arguelles The Mayan Factor and  Daniel Pinchbeck’s 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl are fostering speculation that the ‘end of time’ and even the ‘end of money’ is upon  us.  Yet, one only needs to consider the anti-climaxes of Y2K, 5-5-2000 ( where several planets were to align and cause a pole shift of the earth) and even 6-6-06 where the mark of the beast date was supposed to trigger some global cataclysm and consider the very real possibility that all the 2012 hype we are currently bombarded with is another form of mind control albeit now taking place on a galactic scale.

12-21-2012 has spawned a  bewildering plethora of interpretations in regards to the Mayan calendar’s mysterious emphasis on such a supposedly terminal date .  However, few of these interpretations are  helping us adequately orient to the big event to come, whatever that may or may not be. Instead, they are revealing  the embarrassing  inadequacies of the galactic pundits themselves and their inability to fully de-condition themselves from perceptual bias in the form of Copernican-ism,  Newtonian physics, positivism, Darwinism and even mainstream materialist science as it still persists after nearly a hundred years of quantum physics.

From what I’ve delved into in regards to 2012 and the viral mythos that has developed from it, I’m convinced that astro-archaeologists, ‘alternative’ anthropologists, ethno-botanists and the more wayward fringe of  channelers, astrologers, galactic soothsayers etc.  do not have an adequate  grasp of Mayan cosmology to make such radical conjectures as proclaiming the end of time and a coming global transformation.  It is very much like the supposed cracking of  the code of cuneiform tablets and the paltry evidence gleaned from these works by such opportunistic authors as Zecharia Sitchin who has distorted, perhaps deliberately,  their original meanings to fit his world view of the Sumerians (see Dr. Mark Heiser’s http://www.sitchiniswrong.com/  for more info. on the blatant shortcomings of Sitchin’s ‘scholarship’).   Assessing the true import of ancient Mayan views of time and space,  would be beyond the labors of Hercules at this point. The scholarship has not been rigorous or persistent enough, nor the translation and synthesis of data  adequate, causing ‘well meaning’  authors to project all sorts of bizarre things upon the ‘rare’ alignment with galactic center to come.  The Mayan calendar has now become a kind of  hieroglyphic Rorschach test, revealing all the unresolved complexes and ontological neurosis of those who gaze upon it and are anxious to make such dazzling conjectures as described above.  Many of these authors only delude themselves that they are beyond perceptual conditioning, primarily  because of their ingestion of hallucinogenic substances in exotic locales such as Africa and South America. In the case of Pinchbeck, he tries to inculcate the reader into thinking that he has a greater range and depth of perceptions, primarily  because of his cavalier use of  Ibogain.  Instead, what is revealed to the careful reader is that his myriad drug experiences have actually diminished his abilities to discriminate effectively.  In place of sound judgment is a nebulously prophetic mentality, the kind that has plagued humankind for thousands of centuries in various forms and in some cases with seriously disastrous results.

Daniel Pinchbeck: Vehicle for
Quetzacoatl or sufferer  of
messianic delusion?

So how did this happen to Pinchbeck who so boldly claims he’s the vehicle for the return of the Quetzalcoatl?  In a recent Lava Cocktail Hour radio broadcast, I discussed in depth the very real possibility that Daniel encountered hostile ETs posing as benign entities during his trips.  When one’s third eye is blown open so wide through the use of entheogens, it is very easy to be deceived.  It appears that something posing as Quetzalcoatl  appeared to Pinchbeck, gave his third eye a good whack and successfully convinced him that he was the chosen messiah to utter 2012 prophecies to the masses and achieve a kind of yearned for cult status doing so.

In order for Pinchbeck to proclaim  such an absurdity  without worrying about the  inevitable  ridicule (see Aeolus Kephas’s disfavourable review of his book linked at the end of this article) , he had to have been conditioned to do so, long before lower astral plane entities, reptoidal ETs and or CIA black magicians tricked him into thinking he’s an avataric vehicle.  Let’s now consider the curious passage describing Daniel’s encounter with Jose Arguelles. While Pinchbeck portrays the founder of ‘Harmonic Convergence Day’ in a ‘fair and balanced’  way, i.e., his shortcomings as well as merits as a visionary and artist,  I intuited that there was a seriously malign energy transference between the two of them.   A kind of debased form of shaktipat coming from Arguelles, who had already been taken over by negative entities long before ‘harmonic convergence’ day took place in August of 1987. (shaktipat is the transference of energy from a guru to a disciple to accelerate the latter’s spiritual development).  What most likely happened IMO was that Daniel took on Arguelles’s archons (gnostic planetary deities of malign intent) and then when they seized  his energy body, pulled in an entity to masquerade as Quetzalcoatl  and cause the deluded author to confess to all the world that he is indeed the chosen one.  (It is also possible that he was manipulated via Project Bluebeam technology which employs holograms of various deities such as Jesus, Mother Mary, Quan Yin, etc.)   His radical claim as a god vehicle is  no different than Arguelles saying in Time and the Technosphere, “I am the stranger from the other side of the wall of mechanized time, I have come back to make you familiar with the time your clock and calendar shield you from.....”  A bit of braggadocio  that reeks of messianic condescension.  It is hard to believe that such arrogance would come  from the ultimate darling of the New Age himself. Or is it?

The examples provided here are demonstrative of the  lack of the ability to differentiate between hallucinations/mind control and existential reality.   If this is what happens while tripping on entheogens and meditating on 2012, i.e., leading to the Hotel Terminus of dangerously vatic mirages, I’ll continue to have none of it, otherwise I’ll be making claims to be the next messiah, avatar, vehicle for gods, goddesses and their ilk and cashing in on it along the way.

It is apparent to me that Pinchbeck, Arguelles and many other entheogen aficionados very likely have ‘handlers’ i.e. intelligence agents who hypnotize and manipulate prominent authors, musicians, artists and movie stars alike so that they further entrance the public they address, primarily to evoke mass sonmanbulism of various degrees and persuasions.  The entheogen scene was steered in a more innocuous  direction to prevent social transformation from occurring. (much like what happened to  the New Age movement in its early days) by those who saw the potential threats of people seeing through the matrix via consciousness expanded by hallucinogens and then having the courage to confront the powers that be in a more effective way.  Since 2012 is being hyped as a time of great social transformation, the irony becomes even more apparent.

Info. sent by the CIA showing JP Morgan was
involved in MKULTRA mind control experimentation.

 JP Morgan banker R. Gordon
Wasson:
Entheo-Genic Intel Agent?

The derailing process described here, most likely began with one  ‘ethnomycologist’ R. Gordon Wasson, originally vice president for J.P. Morgan (the bank was involved in MKULTRA according to documents sent to me by the CIA via a FOIA request) who traveled to Mexico and encountered ‘seeress’ Maria Sabrina and then wrote about these experiences in The Wondrous Mushroom: Mycolatry in Mesoamerica and other  books. However, what was occurring underneath the psychedelic table he was dining at was the conditioning of the environment/atmosphere the ‘sacred’ trips were to take place in to establish  a kind of oppressive morphogenetic field of sorts, with CIA and possibly Freemasonic overtones, where one has the illusion that they have had a revelatory experience that fully frees them up from Newtonian/Materialist/Reductionist conditioning-but something quite the opposite takes place,i.e., more enfoldment/entrapment in the matrix-one’s consciousness stuffed, so to speak,  in a lovely coffin painted with stars, day-glo pinwheel galaxies and other superficial and distracting  wonderments, a coffin nailed permanently shut by Seth himself.  Tripsters then would have a higher frequency of being ripped off in their drug experiences-primarily  because of these invisible manipulations they could not perceive or respond to with the guarded scepticism usually associated with sobriety.

Once Wasson did the preliminary scouting and field work in order to establish the subtle yet repressive context that subsequent entheogen trips would take place in, Carlos Castaneda “Godfather of the New Age’ according to Time Magazine arrived on the scene.  He was indoctrinated into a similar kind of  MK program, mostly at UCLA, prior to writing his popular books, where a shamanic doppleganger named don Juan Matus accompanied him on his drug trips in various ways and dimensions. While anthropologists continue to flame with each other as to the authenticity of the shaman  protagonist in Castaneda’s books, they miss more subtle points-in regards to deception, dark forces bent on toxifying the psychic atmosphere that drug trips take place in, using Castaneda as a vehicle to further spread what Wasson and others like him established prior. Castaneda also claims to have been ‘chosen’ to receive ‘the teachings’ of don Juan, no different really  than Pinchbeck and Arguelles attempting to corner the market in the prophet fame department.

Carlos Castaneda: Psychedelic
Huckster par excellence

After Castaneda passed on, his ‘teachings’ were then codified into the ‘Tensegrity’ meditation program supposedly passed on to him by Toltec shamans but which quicklyl morphed into a cult.  Practicioners claim to  have control over such things as  ‘assemblage points’ (in the area of the shoulder blades)  and of course dimensional shape shifitng, techniques supposedly culled from the teachings of don Juan but more likely born of Castaneda’s fertile and wayward imagination.   There are many blog posts expressing qualms about Tensegrity.  Many of Castenda’s followers disappeared shortly after his death-possible suicides according to the following article from Salon.com:

http://www.salon.com/books/feature/2007/04/12/castaneda/

Castaneda’s writings have  inspired thousands to tramp what is now called ‘the entheogenic trail’ a well worn path pounded hard by legions of casual thrill seekers, phalanxes of psyche-nauts and others looking for some kind of wayward consciousness kick. Central America, South America and Mexico are the main routes for this drug addled caravan, the majority having little respect for the customs of indigenous peoples. (One friend of mine encountered a group of Americans in a desert in northern Mexico, who were actually pulling Peyote up by the roots, which kills the plant-and ingesting it, listening to music blaring out of a boom box, sitting in lawn chairs. Hardly the sacramental way of the Huichol Indians who have elaborate rituals to show their respect to the Peyote plant prior to ingesting it.)    This psycho-colonization of indigenous peoples  has only served to debase what was once implemented as a sacrament-the equivalent of turning psilocybin mushroom, peyote and other psychoactive botanicals into crack cocaine IMO.)  Such was the intent of intel agents in the first place.

In more recent times authors such as Graham Hancock, connoisseur of Ayahuasca , considers prehistoric cave art such as found in Lascaux and elsewhere as revealing evidence of awareness of DNA as a vehicle for shamanic journeying to other worlds.  While focusing on the past instead of the future in his most recent work Supernatural, the same tendencies, delusions persist as well.  A Darwinian mind set persists throughout his presumptuous  tome and like the other authors mentioned in this article, he reveals an overall inadequacy and lack of substantial scholarly command to address his subject matter in any lasting and  convincing way. Yet an unspoken law can be sensed between the lines: we are not to challenge his subjective experiences because they were born of a mind altering, natural substance.  Such an assumption pervades throughout the entheogen scene and the authors mentioned here are afforded a kind of carte blanche amnesty from criticism.

Certainly, there are anomalies to these delusionary  tendencies and I don’t want to fall in to the ‘totalizing’ trap many conspiracy writers fall into. Timothy Leary was genuinely inspired to develop his profoundly influential neuro-circuit model via LSD trips-in spite of his involvement with the CIA in the early stages of his career.  The Cosmic Serpent by Jeremy Narby is another excellent example of original, breakthrough  thinking born of ingesting entheogens and achieving perceptual breakthroughs.. Terence McKenna’s Time Wave Zero first described in The Invisible Landscape  (which is the closest thing I’ve encountered to actually ‘getting’ what 2012 is all about) was also born out of hallucinogenic experiences he had and has a ring of authenticity about it. Having met Terence at a Whole Life Expo, in Minneapolis I shared how someone used Time Wave Zero software to determine a corresponding hexagram that would reflect my life situation at the time (1999).  Hexagram 52 ‘Keeping Still’ came up.  Terence further elaborated and told me to keep my spine still during meditation and he was certainly right about that-using his intuition to say such a thing to me and not spouting off some contrived answer to satisfy one of his disciples.

Sadly, such cerebral trailblazing is almost non-existent now thanks to the bad seeds planted early on by Wasson, Castaneda, et. Al.

In regards to the 2012 mythos, which could not have developed into what it is now without the help of the above mentioned authors, what is sorely needed is wise guidance and inspiration as to how we can integrate galactic alignments to come and/or are already happening,  into our own daily lives in a way that actually enhances our sense of presence, awareness and connectedness-without the use of drugs or dependence on folks like Master Pinchbeck for orientation.  The more we fixate on this ‘terminal’ event with supposedly universal consequences, the less connected we are with the here and now and those around us.  What is happening as a result, is a kind of mass dissociation-a dissociation born of yearning for some kind of paradisal return brought on by the ‘end of time’, of predatory capitalism, war and environmental destruction.  In short, 2012 hucksters are doing nothing more than marketing hope (and doom), using the zero point (or zero sum) of the Mayan calendar (at least ones made available to the public) as a capacitor, which few if any modern peoples fully understand.  Instead of focusing on 2012 with bated breath, it is recommended to delve into the past, where millenial delusion has plagued many a people and guard oneself against false prophets, no matter how alluring their guises are. It is up to us and not the planets themselves to align to galactic center, whatever that may be, a nodal point on an infinite lattice work of galactic centers, spread out and interconnected like the net of Indra; centered with planetary systems at all times.  Sadly, our terra-centric bias still persists and the authors mentioned in this article are partly responsible for continuing its promotion, albeit unconsciously. Unable to distance themselves in a healthy way, enamored if not brainwashed by their ‘revelatory’ experiences,  they cannot see that they have become psychedelic Mountebanks, shamelessly hawking gawkers to enter into the freak show world of threadbare and garish moire patterns, fractal Ferris wheels creaking from overuse, seductive  neon labyrinths emerging from the navel of the New World Order Gargantuan and  leading to nothing but P.T. Barnum’s grand exit at the ‘end of time’.
